Lately – we are so surprised to see Agents living up to the world view when it comes to the handling of their Clients.  We are all about being “loyal”.  This is in reference to working with a Tried, True, and Honest Real Estate Professional that is doing the work to assist you with your Real Estate Needs.  But the “World View of Sales people” still rears its ugly head to this day and in this market. 

Just today we had a nice couple came into our offices to speak with us – they were very defensive at first – having been pressured beyond belief. After we told them they should wait over 1 year before they purchased a home – they were relaxed and elated.  They explained that they had been almost forced into writing offers due to misinformation that had it source from a Real Estate Agent.

But after brain storming with these clients – we deduced that it was not the best thing for them to purchase a home at this time and gave them our rationale. 

Here is the Santa Clarita Market Update for 7/31/2009

  • New Listings      19
  • Out of the new listings REO/Foreclosures were 3
  • Short Sales reflected 8 placed onto the market
  • Active Listings within the Eight communities that make up the Santa Clarita Valley were 690
  • Average Days on the Market DOM were 107
  • Today 17 properties went pending
  • Properties that are reflecting Back Up status and Pending were 1027
  • June Closed to Date was 368
  • And July Closed to date has surpassed June at 394
  • Today 20 Escrows closed (which in comparison with the past years – we feel our Clients Pain due to the lack of inventory)
  • So far this year YTD – year to date we have had 2118 Escrows close
